Never Go Back by Lee Child
Jack Reacher is recalled to the army to face two criminal
charges from years ago. One is a lawsuit brought by a former suspect that
accuses Jack of brutally beating a gang member. The other is a complaint by a
woman that Jack fathered her child—who is now fourteen years old. Jack suspects
that there is a cover up for something else the army doesn’t want known, and he
and the commanding officer that took his place are on the run, trying to prove
their innocence. As usual, Jack beats up a lot of guys while he’s on the run.
