Armand Gamache goes to Paris

All the Devils are Here by Louise Penny

New York Times best selling author Louise Penny is back with another mystery featuring Armand Gamache, former head of the Quebec Surete. Gamache and his wife Reine-Marie are in Paris for the birth of a grandchild, and while they are there they have dinner with Stephen Horowitz, a billionaire and Gamache’s godfather. As they are leaving the restaurant, Horowitz is the victim of a hit and run, which Gamache believes is no accident.

Gamache and his former second-in-command and son-in-law investigate—the local police believe it was an accident. But there are secrets to uncover, and Gamache’s family is caught up in the danger, not knowing who to trust. The Paris setting is a change from the rural setting of Three Pines, Quebec, and fans of the series may miss some of the characters who inhabit the village, but will enjoy the intimate look at Gamache’s family life.
